It's official

Jordan is permanently grounded until she's 18.

Jordan's friend had wanted Jordan to come over but knew she was grounded. So Jordy's friend tried to formulate an argument and presented her point of view to Greg by texting. So there was a bit of a "text war" going on there. However, Jordy's friend failed to persuade Greg.

The upshot of this was that Jordy was then curious to know how long she WAS grounded for. Well! You should have seen her face. She was so shocked when Greg said, "Until you're 18. And that's only because legally, I can only ground you until you're 18."

Apart from that though, Jordy doesn't seem to mind all that much.

It must be because she has such "cool" parents.

Vienna

Well things are starting to get slightly more exciting. Gregs talking specific dates to book our flight to Vienna.

To be honest it still doesn't feel real. And Greg keeps being all gloomy and worried that it's not going to happen because he won't finish in time blah blah blah.

However we all know how brilliant Greg is so we'll just take that with a pinch of salt.

Jordan est une etoile/Jordan's a star

Well, Jordy was very pleased with herself today. She received a silver cerficate for French today. She has already received her bronze certificate and so is now working toward her gold.

It was a real buzz for Jordy because apparently she is the first year 9/10 student to have received both. Most of her classmates are still working for their bronze. You'll have to talk to JOrdy if you want more info.

Other news...Jordy has a new violin teacher. We got a bit fed up with her last lot. Her new teacher is very good and thinks that Jordy has been held back from advancing in her music. Jordy likes her a lot. Even if I do say so myself Jordy sounded fantastic when she was demonstrating what she could do.

This teacher is a wee bit more expensive than the others so Jordy's "mean" parents are making her busk for the difference....Actually we're not really. Jordy opted to do this as she really liked the sound of this teacher.

Greg's in Wellington

Yep. Greg suddenly remembered on Sunday that he has a conference to attend. He rushed upstairs to check on his computer whether or not he had actually missed it. Luckily for him, it was today.

However, Greg found out late yesterday afternoon that he has a talk to do at the conference. heh heh heh. Not that Greg was in the least bit fazed by this news at all.
