here's another goody

Hebrews 4:15-16

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Psalm119:176

"I have strayed like a lost sheep.
Seek your servant,
for I have not forgotten your commands."

The wonderful thing about the bible is that, depending on what you are going through, different verses speak to you. Um, you know "stands out" even though you might have read that passage heaps of times before, you only notice it this particular time.

So sometimes you can feel like a loser because you haven't been as close to God as you like.Especially when it's only because of laziness or bad organisation or even not listening to God's little 'whispers" prompting you to pick up your bible, or pray or whatever. So discouragement starts to creep in.

So this scripture was great because it made me feel like all's not lost. Okay, you've lost your way but it's okay because you still remember God's commands and they will guide you back. So just start again. And if you lose your path again? NO worries, start again. There's no quota on how many times you're allowed to start again.

ellerslie flower show

Well....this is something that I put on the "should do at least once" list. So now I can cross it off my list.

Even though I enjoyed myself(especially in the woolworths tent), it wasn't what I expected. I thought it was rather rude of them to charge $37 just so that they can then try and sell you stuff!?!

Doom

Well what can I say?

Greg and I enjoyed it. We both thought that it captured the essence of the game.
Not to mention the Rock was an obvious choice. He was perfect in that role.
It even, dare I say it, had a bit of a plot.

Greg's rating - 7 out of 10
ditto for me

Jordy's a sweetie

When I came from work last night, I could smell something cooking. Well, I got all excited because I thought that Jordy had started cooking dinner. Only to be disappointed because she was only brewing some coffee for Greg.

I must have looked quite forlorn because Jordy then offered to cook dinner. So I was very happy.

Dinner was quite yummy even if I do say so myself.

Bride and Prejudice

It's a fun movie. If you didn't know that it was based on Pride and Prejudice then I think you would be able to enjoy it a lot more. As it was, I couldn't help comparing.

Martin Henderson was cute.

My rating 5 out of 10.
JOrdy's rating (imagine indian head wiggle) 7 or 8
Greg's rating(if he'd watched it) 0

made contact with Vienna

So, I had a look on the net for our church in Vienna. I had to do a bit of Babelfishing.(for those of you who aren't in the know, refer to 'The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy) So it took me a while to wade through all the bits and pieces before I could actually even say hello to anyone.

The funny thing is, the contact over there is Australian. And, he is good friends with our former pastor. So this whole six degrees of separation thing really seems to be true.

It's nice to know that people will be expecting us and even maybe looking forward to meeting us.
