Hallelujah! It's handed in!

It's finally finished! Or as greg would put it, it's "abandoned" (ask him what he means by that).

Saturday we spent all day at Uni, went home about 2 or 3am. I forget which but didn't get to bed till 4am. Then the alarm goes off at 6am and it's back to the fray. Hometime is 2am again. Why do I feel like I'm enrolled at Uni? And why didn't I do a lousy job proofreading the first time so I wouldn't have to do it again? (yes we know it's because I loooove him but lack of sleep affects the thought processes. Ask Greg. He gets hardly any sleep at all.)

Anyway, Monday 23rd, 4pm the doctorate was handed in. I was so happy. I was literally jumping for joy. And I have already told Greg he's not allowed to write any books. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. As far as Greg is concerned I am permanently employed and if I have any complaints I can check my marital contract, look under terms and conditions.

No one ever reads the fine print.

Best friends

Yesterday, I had lunch with some friends. We have been friends since high school. Thats about 20 years but it doesn't feel like it's been 20 years.

I guess there's something magical about old friendships that makes you feel young. Even though we were surrounded by our children. One of whom is now eighteen, absolutely gorgeous and who we all remember cuddling when we were her age and she was just the cutest little 5 month old cherub.

Some of the magic also comes from feeling blessed to have known and grown with these incredible women.
