Vienna so totally rocks!

So I was just on my way to the market. When I came out of the U-bahn station, I unexpectedly found myself in the middle of a Bezirksfest(district celebration). Yay.

Karlsplatz(google Karlsplatz if you want to see what I'm talking about) was having an open door day. This meant that there were 15 tourist sights open for view for free. Unfortunately, I was there a bit late, so I only had 2 hours to see the sights but fortunately, it was enough time to have a look and decide whether I wanted to come back for a more leisurely view.

Karlsplatz also had other entertainment to offer - live music, food and drink, rollerskating, kiddie rides, and plays for kids. One of my favourite bands was playing-The Gypsy Kings. They were playing again in two hours so I went to see Greg and Jordy at Uni and then we all came back to enjoy the Gypsy Kings as a family. Greg was very sweet to accompany us as I know it's not really his cup of tea.

So, if you come to visit us, make sure it's in spring so that you too will be able to enjoy the free concerts.

I spy one good looking fellow in the audience.

on the way

Greg doesn't like me taking photos of him sleeping so you will just have to imagine those ones.Plus, nothing hugely exciting happens while flying. Hence only a few pics here. But htat is his elbow in the corner. The white fellow sitting next to Greg is Mr Madara Bear. He is a gift from my co-workers at Pt Chevalier Primary School. He thinks the new planes totally rock too.

This one is Jordy and Greg at the airport pool in Singapore.Sorry it's a bit dark.

And the last one is Jordy and Madara getting a leg massage while we are waiting for Greg to sort out our boarding passes. We foolishly thought that since the queue was so short this would mean we would get processed quickly. Hah!

MI:3

There's a reason why for the first time, the popular MI:3 tune didn't top the charts. This rendition sucked.

Anyway, I concede that MI:3 had all the right elements that marked it as an MI movie but I'm still only giving it a 4/10. If I wanted to watch a soap opera, I believe "Days of our Lives" is still on tv.

monkey rating is - 8.5
the doctor's is 7.5 - 8

The Monkey has Started School

We finally got Jordy enrolled at school, about 6 weeks before it finishes. Jordy was so bored with her extended holiday that she couldn't wait to go.

She had a great time and I think she wishes that she had started school earlier.Of course she finishes school most days at 1pm so that's a bit of a bonus. Although on Wednesdays she comes home for lunch for about an hour and a half and then has to go back to school for P.E.So that day she doesn't finish school until 5.30pm.

You know you're in Austria when your daughter comes home with a permission slip to consent to your child taking anti-radio active(Greg wants to be more accurate and call them iodine pills etc... but that sounds boring to me, and Greg concedes artistic license is accurate enough in this case.) pills in the case of nuclear radiation/bombs.
