Ottawa at last

Luckily for Greg and I, many of his colleagues were on the same flights as us because once we'd landed, and picked up our bags ready to travel into the city, we suddenly realised, "Crap,we hadn't done any of our usual pretrip research-tourist attractions, public transport, how to get to our accomodations from the airport...

For myself, I think I was so excited about the trip, that all I could think was, Ï'm going to Canada, yippee. I'm going to Canada, yippee." Which left no room for any practical thinking.

Ludwig was Mr info man but we quickly hit our first hitch, the buses don't give change. Gee, welcome to Ottawa, and let's rip you off just to set the tone for the rest of your trip. We managed to pool our coins, and very nice, the bus dropped us off right in front of the campus.

Farewell Vienna and thanks for all the .....

well not fish but certainly many things.

It's been a long road, a lot longer than any of us would have thought - 7years.
Vienna is definitely the best place in the world to live with it's 1st rate public transport,
low crime, and lots of little local businesses and restaurants.

We've met a lot of people, been temporary lodgings for a few(including both Greg's bosses), been visited by many friends and family(hoorah), and even managed to pick up some of the lingo, golly.

Moving to Lausanne is still not real for me. Switzerland please be kind to us.
