What did we do for Xmas?

Well, mostly everyone here celebrates Xmas on the 24th and the 24th is a half a day holiday starting after lunch. So most people just have a simple meal like fish, usually Carp, or frankfurters etc....Plus they open their presents. Jordy has a theory that present opening on xmas eve was invented by parents so that they could sleep in on xmas day. We actually had our "Xmas' earlier than that, the 23rd, because Jordy was pestering us so much about opening the presents.

As Murphy's law would have it, I of course ended up getting sick that day so Jordy had to cook dinner. Then our oven wasn't working properly so dinner ended up being very late. But it was still delicious nevertheless. Originally the plan was to open pressies after dinner but because dinner took so long to cook, we decided to have some mulled wine and then open them.

Jordy was of course easy to buy for, and the subtle hints she dropped, which I completely missed, were picked up by Greg. She got an MP3 player. Typically the battery is already flat. Greg and Jordy keep insisting that I'm hard to buy for which is simply not true. So, because they had absolutely no ideas what to get me, I finally got the paper cutter I have been asking for for ages. Yay! As for Jordy and I, well as per usual we couldn't agree on anything so Greg's present ended up being the only thing we could agree on it. Luckily it was just what he wanted even though he didn't know it. A modelling kit of the MaClaren F1 car of Kimi Raichannen. The very same car Greg watched when he went to the F1 in France.
