Greg's First Stint in Hospital

Greg has been having ongoing problems with his stomache for over 2 years now. After many tests and humiliating extras from the doctors in NZ, with "no idea" being the doctor's best learned opinion, Greg was understandably put off any further doctor's visits.
However, pain drove Greg to consult with the doctors here. They also were confused and sent Greg on to the hospital where he continued to confound the doctors with his lack of real symptoms. In the end they decided, after prodding Greg repeatedly and painfully in the same spot as where your appendix is, that he must have appendicitus.

Luckily Greg had had nothing to eat all day so they could operate straight away. Unfortunately, Greg had just had a quick drink, 5 mins before his consultation so he had to wait 3 hours. Jordy had accompanied Greg the whole time in case he needed an interpretor but she wasn't really needed.
Poor Greg still wasn't allowed to eat for another whole day after the operation. An added indignity was not being allowed to drink coffee.
So Greg was there from Tuesday until Friday. He was meant to stay in for a bit longer but he was feeling lonely and wanted to come home. We did manage to play Settlers on Thursday.
A couple of things we did find strange was the presence of visitors rooms for smokers on every floor, and the sale of beer in the cafeteria. If there's a next time we are going to endeavour to be delivered to this hospital as it is very nice, friendly staff and great food. Plus they have a machine that goes "ping".
